Hi guys!

It's been a while again! I have been super busy creating stuff that I haven't had time to come on my blog and update you all on my life. Everything is pretty much the same (yawn). My husband and I got a puppy in November. Her name is Kaylee. She's a mini long-haired dachshund. Oh my word guys, she is the cutest thing in the entire world. At least in my eyes she is! Check her out under my signature.  If you want to follow her on Instagram, her handle is Kaylee McPuppin.  She's pretty funny ;)

Anyway, the real reason why I wanted to blog today was to let you all know that I will be working on getting my guided reading packet done.  It's a monster of a job but if I start soon, I will surely have several school weeks done for the following school year.  I need to know what are some thing you would like to see in the first grade (SPANISH) guided reading packet? My first week was a freebie, click here to grab it if you never downloaded it.

So far I have:
-How to run your guided reading block ( in minutes)
-HFW words
-Differenciated reading passages
-Activities to do with your small group that week
-Activities for the other students (work on writing, word work, digital games)
-Guided targeted lessons for the week

Now I need your input. If you could have your ideal guided reading guide, what else would you want to see in it?  Think about how long your guided reading block is each day. What do you hope to accomplish in that time frame to make your students successful?

I would truly appreciate any feedback you can give me.  The more help I can get, the easier it will be for me to create the material for you!

If you've made it this far, please click on "TPT" up at the top and pick out something from my store that is under $5.  Comment what you would like along with your e-mail!

Thanks y'all!!

  1. Hi! I just downloaded your week 1 freebie and I'm so excited for this! I'm new to first grade this year and I'm used to guided reading in the upper grades, so I feel like something like this would really enhance my guided groups for the firsties!

Ideally, I think what would help me most is 3 different levels of the differentiated reading passages. Even other differentiated activities would be really helpful while working with different levels of students. I also think that I lack in writing, so I'd love some writing ideas. I do own your grammar and phonics interactive notebooks so ideas on how to tie those in as center work (like where they would fit in best) would be great! In regards to data, maybe some kind of fluency checks would be great! Like tracking how many words per minute of a passage they read. Also, I'd like to have a "at a glance" data page where I can see all of my students' data at once. One last thing, I'm asking a lot :), is maybe some kind of anecdotal records page.

I will be purchasing this product for sure! How exciting!

From your store I'd love to try out the Spanish packet for first graders going into second grade! My email is
